What is the molar mass of a gas if 1.25 g of the gas has a volume of 255 L at STP?

    Answer: 0.11g/mol

    Explanation: 1mole of any gas contains 22.4L at stp.

    Xmol of the gas will contain 255L i. e

    Xmol of the gas = 255/22.4 = 11.38moles

    recall

    n = Mass conc. / molar Mass

    Molar Mass = Mass conc. / n

    Molar Mass = 1.25/11.38 = 0.11g/mol
