What happen to the brain that makes sugary food so hard to resist

    Eating sugar also causes the release of chemical messengers like dopamine, a neurochemical that motivates us to search for food. At the same time, too much sugar can block the production of serotonin, a brain chemical that normally reigns in dopamine and prevents us from overeating.
