The Western region of Alaska is considered to have two climates. The South Western region is a subarctic oceanic climate, while the North Western region is a continental subarctic climate. The temperature here is mildly moderate for a region situated in the north. Also, it is considered to have extreme conditions because some areas like desserts have little precipitation while some experience a lot of precipitation.
