    Explanation:

    At the sea level the pressure that we experience is only due to the air that is surrounding us. This is atmospheric pressure and at the sea level it is nearly 14.5 pounds per square inch.

    But, as we go down below the sea level, the pressure increases because an additional hydrostatic pressure starts to act upon our body. The deeper we dive the grater will be the pressure that we experience. For every dive of 33 feet, this pressure increases by about 14.5 pounds and goes on increasing as the depth increases.
