    Explanation:

    When a coal burns then the main gases which release upon combustion are carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane.

    Most of the gases that release upon motor vehicle exhaust are carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and hydrocarbons. But sulfur dioxide is not released upon motor vehicle exhaust.

    In industrial areas, gases that usually release are ammonia, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen chloride, nitrogen trifluoride etc.

    Two main gases which are the main cause of acid rain are sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide.

    Thus, we can conclude that the statement it is high in motor vehicle exhaust, is not true about sulfur dioxide.
