What is the van't Hoff factor for NaCl if it completely dissociates in water?

    NaCl is a compound that will dissociate into one Na - and one Cl + ion in water. Because the Van't Hoff factor of an ionic compound is equivalent to the number of ions in the ionic formula, the Van't Hoff Factor is two.
