    a = 1.75M

    b = 0.175moles

    c = 0.67L

    Explanation:

    Molarity of a substance is the number of moles present in 1L of a solution.

    a). 0.7 moles is present in 0.4L

    X moles is present in 1L

    0.7moles = 0.4L

    X moles = 1L

    X = 1.75M

    The molarity of the solution is 1.75M

    b). 0.5moles is present in 1L

    X moles will be present in 0.35L

    X = (0.5 * 0.35) / 1 = 0.175moles

    0.175 moles will be present in 0.35L of the solution

    c). 3.0moles is present in 1L

    2 moles will be present in how many L

    3.0moles = 1L

    2.0moles = xL

    X = (2.0 / 3.0) / 1

    X = 0.67L

    2 moles is present in 0.67L of the solution
