How much is needed to accelerate a 1000-kg car at a rate of 3m/s^2

    If we use F=m*a or in this case F=1000*3

    So this car would need 3000 Newtons to accelerate it, discounting friction since we don't know what the surface is or the coefficient of friction.

    If its the force you hav to calculate then use the equation F=ma where

    F is foce

    m is mass

    a is acceleration

    Therefore F = 1000kg * 3ms^-2 = 3000N
