What is the balanced equation for the complete combustion of pentane (C5H12) ?

    2C5H12 + 16O2 - > 10CO2 + 12H2O

    2•5=10 C 10=1•10

    2•12=24 H 24=2•12

    16•2=32 O 32 = (10•2) + (1•12)

    =20+12
