Yes it is. Radium 226 is radioactive. It replaces calcium in bones, can lead to bone cancer, causes necrosis and anemia.
Fun fact: radium was once added to hair creams, toothpastes, and to food, because it was supposed to cure cancer. Also due to it's fluorescence it was used in some paintings, watches and toys.
