If 1 mol of a gas in a container occupies a volume of 12 l at a pressure of 1 atm, what is the temperature of the gas in kelvins?

    The Clapeyron equation is used:

    P * V = n * R * T

    1 * 12 = 1 * 0.0821 * T

    12 = 0.0821 * T

    T = 12 / 0.0821

    T = 146.163 ºC

    T = 146.163 + 273.15

    T = 419.313 K
