50 960 cigarettes. If Cliffhanger smokes 1 pack of cigarettes per day, he will smoke 50 960 cigarettes in 7 years.

We use the factor label method to convert

    years → weeks → days → packs → cigarettes

    No of days = 7 yr x (52 wk/1 yr) x (7 days/1 wk) = 2548 days

    No. of packs = 2548 days x (1 pack/1 day) = 2548 packs

    No. of cigarettes = 2548 packs x (20 cigarettess/1 pack) = 50 960 cigarettes
