    Weight measured as a force in Newtonsis best described by the answer that is listed under option C. It is a measure of gravitational force on an object. So, interestingly an item with a specific mass of say 120KGs on earth would weigh 1200 N but on the moon only weigh 200 N due to the smaller gravitational force.
