Assuming an experimental value of enthalpy of - 655 kJ/mol and a true value of - 603, what is the percent error of the experiment? Use a calculator and use significant digits in your computation as well as the absolute value of the percentage.

    To calculate for the percent error, determine the difference between the values given and divide by the true value,

    (-655 - - 603) / (-603) = 0.0862

    Multiply by 100%,

    (0.0862) x 100% = 8.62%
