What is the concentration, in grams per liter, of a solution prepared by dissolving 0.00040 mol HCl in 2.2 L H2O? Assume that the volume of the solution does not change when the HCl is added.

    Hey there!

    1) molarity of solution:

    M = n / V

    M = 0.00040 / 2.2

    = 1,81x10⁻⁴ M

    Therefore:

    Molar mass HCl = > 36.46094 g/mol

    C = M * mm

    C = (1.81x10⁻⁴) * 36.46094

    C = 0.00629 g/L
