Molecules are packed closer together in the ground than they are in the air. will sound travel faster or slower in the ground than in air? explain

    Slower because of the molecules being packed closer together therefore sound traveling slower.

    It will travel faster in air since there are less molecules that are tightly packed to block the sound as in ground is a solid meaning all the molecules are heavily packed together not letting sound go through easily
