    The mass of 0.200 moles of Propane is calculated as follow,

    Data Given:

    Moles = 0.200 mol

    M. Mass = 44 g/mol ∴ C₃ = (12 * 3 = 36)

    H₈ = (1 * 8 = 8)

    C₃H₈ = 44 g/mol

    Formula Used,

    Moles = mass : M. mass

    Solving for mass,

    Mass = Moles * M. Mass

    Putting Values,

    Mass = 0.200 mol * 44 g/mol

    Mass = 8.8 g

    The molar mass of propane is C₃H₈ - (12x3) + (1x8) = 44 g/mol

    This means that 1 mol of propane weighs 44 g

    The number of moles of propane present - 0.200 mol

    1 mol weighs - 44 g

    Therefore 0.200 mol of propane weighs - 44 g/mol x 0.200 mol = 8.8 g

    Mass of propane present - 8.8 g
