Compare the strategies used to store, contain and dispose of high-level and low-level nuclear waste.

    High level nuclear wastes require shielding and cooling and thus they are usually stored or disposed deep underground in geological repositories while low level nuclear wastes are disposed of closer to the earth surface in established repositories which are purposely built for that purpose because they can be handled easily without shielding.
