A solution of ammonia had a pH of 11.8. What is the concentration of OH ions in the solution?

    This is the formula pH + pOH = 14

    11.8 + pOH = 14

    pOH = 2.6

    then to find concentration, the formula is

    pOH = - log[OH^-]

    2.6 = - log[OH^-]

    [OH^-] = 2.5119*10^3 M
