What is the total mass in grams of 0.75 mole of so2?

    To calculate the total mass of a given mole of a compound we need to know the molar mass of compound so as to convert moles to grams. The molar mass is the sum of the atomic masses of the elements involved. We do as follows:

    molar mass = 32 + 16x2 = 64 g/mol

    mass SO2 = 64 x 0.75 = 48 g SO2
