And RFCs are issued by many departments like the Internet engineering task force or the IETF. And for detailed and updated information, you need to opt for the current edition of the IOP standards (Internet official protocol standards) for the status and the standardization state of the protocols. And there is no limit for the distribution of this document. And hence, anybody can grab a copy of it.
