Programmed decisions are usually made for the for the structured problems. The decisions are of repetitive and routine nature.

Programmed decision can be delegated as it involves following a pre-defined procedure.

Computer systems can be used to make programmed decision

For Example:Settlement of a bill is a Programmed Decision

Non-Programmed decisions are taken to solve unstructured/unique problems. Problems that has occurred for the first time. They pertain to the occurrence of a new problem.

Non-Programming decision making is a system's approach to problem solving.

The decision makers when making a Programmed decision needs to just follow the set procedure, whereas when they need to make a non-programmed decision they need to firstly obtain information and then make a decision.
