    Explanation:

    Port security ranges from disabling all unused ports to statically and dynamically securing MAC addresses, to finally sticky secure MAC address.

    To disable all unused ports, run the shutdown command with the given range of unused ports. The static and dynamic MAC address security requires a port learns the MAC address or addresses statically or dynamically, while to make the port security on a device sticky, the sticky command is executed after the port learns the address.

    There are three violation modes that can be configured on the ports, they are; shutdown, protect and restrict.

    The Fa0/1 port on the has all three violation modes configured on it, so it's default is to stop all traffic flow to avoid the use of that port by another devices.
