    The database administrator also determines the way that data is arranged and stored to better suit the requirements of the business. He writes queries, procedures and practices required for the successful day to day maintenance and improvement of the database system.

    A database administrator must also possess good problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work with a team of database engineers and company clients.
