    To change the name of a computer, carry out the following steps on Windows 10 OS.

    Click on the start and search for Control Panel Double click "System" in the Control Panel Once System is open, scroll down to the 'Computer name, domain and workgroup settings' section. Look to the right of the 'Computer name, domain and workgroup settings' section, you will see the "Change settings". Click "Change settings". Under the new window shown, click the change button, it is around the middle right of the small window. In the 'Computer Name' space, delete the name there, and insert the desired new name. Click on Ok, you will be prompted to restart your computer for changes to take effect. Click Ok and restart your computer.

    The name should be changed now.
