Explain what happens to your document if you decide to save or not to save the recovery file and how you can ensure that the majority of your document is recovered

    If you save the recovered copy, then you are able to edit the document like normal, then save it. If you don't, then all of the document goes away. If you pressed Save right before it crashed, then more that likely, the whole document will be recovered.
