Serious injuries have happened especially when someone thought that the machine was safely shut off. LO/TO programs protect you and others by making sure that the machines remain completely, temporarily off. These programs make sure that all controls are in off position and verifies that all moving parts like gears and flywheels have come to a complete stop.
