Multiplexing

The technique that is used to select on output data from multiple inputs is called Multiplexing.

Explanation:

If there are multiple data streams on input and we have to select from on of the them by selecting the input line is called multiplexing. There are multiple inputs line, few select pins used to select input line on the single output line.

Compression

The data has been encoded to reduce the no. of bits to reduce the size of data is called compression.

Explanation:

There is huge amount of the data that needs to transmitted or stored. To reduced the size of data, no. of bits has been reduced to size of the data compression technique is used. The data has been compressed to secure it from hackers while transmitting.
