If DHCP server could not communicate with clients, you cannot connect to your local files.

    Explanation:

In computer networks, a protocol is used to configure the clients with the host server by assigning them IP addresses, subnet mask and gateway. This protocol is called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

This protocol is responsible for assigning IP address to all the devices presented in the network. After the host assign IP addresses to all clients, then clients will be able to communicate with the server.

In case client could not communicate with the host server to access the files, the problem can be identified as, the DHCP server is down and could not establish the connection with the client.
