What characteristics do you think a good teacher needs?

You need to have respect for the kids to get it back, they need to actually care about the kids education

A couple of things, one, a good leadership skill.

Having the ability to lead people correctly and in a good way can lead some of those people to become successful themselves, it will also allow the teacher to stay in charge of kids.

Another trait would be sympathy.

Being a stone cold, hardass to kids is what makes them not want to do a thing for you.
