Database hacking is gaining unauthorized access to the database of an organization. Databases contain huge amounts of information and if the organization is a bank it contains the personal credentials of the customer like credit card numbers, debit card numbers, etc. For companies, they contains details of employees. Every organization has its database.

Databases are targeted by hackers because they can gain access to the organization's valuable information.
