You need to choose the Insert field, and click the document tab.

Now click "Date" in the Type list

In the LibreOffice Writer, we can start process of entering a date field by clicking on the Insert menu. We can choose to insert the current date which will be updated each time we open the document (dynamic date) or a static date which will not be updated.

If our aim is to insert a dynamic date, we can follow the following steps:
