    Software engineering is the process of designing and testing various analytical data and are used to analyzing the needs of user for development.

    Engineering basically refers to the designing and planning on the other hand, manufacturing refers to the process that involved raw material and machines.

    Software engineering basically apply their all the computer skills for designing an efficient software and it does not use any type pf machines and raw material. Therefore, software engineering consider engineering and not manufacturing.
