Justification is a type of formatting for text documents. The effect is purely aesthetic and has no impact on the meaning of the text. Effectively, justification spreads out the words on a line so that the words extend right across the page, from the left-hand border to the edge of the right-hand border. The result is to provide a neat block text effect. Justification is a preferred formatting for most published documents as it provides a professional finish.
