    FOUR (4)

    Explanation:

There are three types of partitions, namely:

    1. Primary partition

    2. Extended partition

    3. logical partition

A hard disk can have up to four primary partition or three primary partitions and an extended partition.

The extended partition basically functions as a container for the logical partition.

In situations that requires more than four partition the technician has to create three primary and one extended partition which will contain the extra partition know as the logical partition.
