At my workplace, I never have an opportunity to speak with the vice president of my division, since I must speak with my direct supervisor, who then speaks with the division manager, who then relays my message to the vice president. This is an example of which communication network?

    Chain Communication network

    Explanation:

The Chain communication network traces a chain of command. This may start with a senior or a high ranking employee or a manager, who hands it over to the next level and so on. As seen in the question, when you want to speak with the Overall boss, you have to pass the information to your immediate boss who passes it over to his own immediate boss and the chain continues like that till it gets the overall boss and also same is done when the overall boss wants to pass down an information to you. It is mostly time consuming and also some important details might have been omitted in the process of passing the message down.

This is an example of circle communication network.

    Explanation:

Because, in circle communication network, there is a leader and hierarchies in the group members. The leader can only communicate to the members who are next to him/her like their direct subordinates. He or she cannot talk with any other members too, like the lowest level of employees.

All group members can only communicate to the people who are above them or below them in the chain of command.
