    Record is the unit for maintenance of the data. The information collection is usually referred with the rows in record unit. A field is defined as the vertical storage of information in table. The data is organized on the basis of type.

    Both record and field are the part of Access which is a relational database. This database has records for storing the specific information such as certain product information in rows and field contains various types of information like subject, dates etc. in columns.
