    Edward is using Purposeive Sampling for his experiment.

    Explanation:

    Purposive sampling is also known as selective sampling. In this sampling method, in which researcher use his own judgment when choosing members of population to participate in the study.

    The purpose of this type of sampling is to know the interest of the population.
