A digital video system uses a display format of 1024 by 768 pixels. each pixel is coded using 32 bits. the system uses the ac current line (60 hz) for synchronization so the refresh rate is 60 screens / sec. what is the minimum size of the video memory, given in gigabytes (gb), required to store one second of video? assume that no compression is used. give the result using two decimals (aproximating to the closest hundreth decimal). question 28 options:

    Here you go,

    Solution:

    total pixels = > 1024 x 768 = 786,432

    each pixel = > 32 bits

    total bits = > 32 x 786,432 = 25,165,824

    no. of screens/sec = > 60

    total bits in 1 sec = > 60 x 25,165,824 = 1,509,949,440

    or

188,743,680 bytes memory needed to store a 1 sec video.
