    a specific reference

    Explanation:

Motion is the phenomenon where an object changes its position with respect to time. It is observed from a frame of reference. In order to understand this let us take an example.

If a person is driving a car this means that from a perspective outside the car the person is in motion. Now a passenger in the car will observe that the driver is at rest and not moving. As you can see here the perspective i. e., the frame of reference changed.

So, motion is observed with respect to a specific reference.
