What to do if someone has an electric shock?

    Turn off or separate the victim from the electrical source. Unplug or shut off the power source ...

    Call 911 immediately. Even if the person does not appear hurt, they still need medical attention ...

    Apply CPR, if needed ...

    Check for injuries ...

    Inform medical professionals once they arrive.

    When someone suffers an electrical shock you should follow these steps

    1. Remove person from the source of electricity unless it's not possible at the given time.

    2. Call 911 or local emergency services and inform them of the incident.

    3. Begin CPR if the person shows no signs of circulation such as breathing, coughing or any type of movement

    Extra notes: Try and prevent the persons body temperature from dropping. Referring back to step #1 after moving the person from the electrical source avoid moving them again unless completely necessary.
