    The power the refrigerator draws when running = 0.37 Kw

    Explanation:

    Since the household refrigerator runs one-fourth of the time;

    The refrigerator will remove heat at the rate of;

    QL = 4 x (800 Kj/h) = 3200 Kj/h

    The formula to determine the power the refrigerator draws when running is;

    W (in) = QL/COP

    Thus;

    W (in) = 3200/2.4 = 1333.33 Kj/h

    This is in Kj/h and the unit of Power is in kw. We know that 1kw = 3600 kj/h

    Thus;

    1333.33Kj/h = (1333.33Kj/h x 1kw) / 3600 kj/h = 0.37 kw
