volumetric dilatation rate is defined as the rate of change of volume of an element per unit volume is known as volumetric dilatation. Volumetric dilatation rate is zero as volume of a fluid cannot be change without change in density of a fluid. Volumetric dilatation rate is also known as volumetric strain rate.
