    Ozone Layer

    Explanation:

Ozone layer is part of the Earth which contains relatively high concentration of O₃. It absorbs much of the ultraviolet radiation that would normally reach the surface of the Earth. Ozone layer is mainly found in the lower part of the stratosphere. Because the ozone layer absorbs most of the ultraviolet rays from the sun, life forms due to adverse effects of ultraviolet rays are saved. The breakdown of ozone in the stratosphere results in reduced absorption of ultraviolet radiation which can affect various life forms.
