For a Digital Muti-meter when set to the Diode Test, It will indicate continuity when the RED lead is connected to the Anode of a known good Diode and the black lead is connected to the Cathode (will show Forward voltage drop). When the leads are Reversed, there is no continuity indicated. With this knowledge, you know test an unknown transistor whose terminals are numbered #1,#2 and #3 and obtained the following result:

Red #1 #1 #2 #2 #3 #3

Black #2 #3 #1 #3 #1 #2

Result No Continuity, Continuity, No Continuity, Continuity, No Continuity, No Continuity

a) Is the Transistor Good or Bad?

b) Which terminals #1, #2 or #3 is the Base?

c) Is it PNP or NPN?
