The theme of Five Hours to Simla is the big stuck there is in a 4 mile traffic jam which involves some characters like the prson who is driving the truck that does not move until he gets the person who damaged his vehicle and people annoyed because they want to move from that jam and it is not possible. The mood from this story is based on the feelings that the author is trying to make the reader feel, or the atmosphere the author is trying to create to stir the reader's feelings. Setting, theme, tone, and voice affect the mood of the story which basucaly is frustration. The setting is based on collision of modern and traditional values of the late 20th century in India where a father and a police focus on keeping things moving but a trucker stops all traffic waiting for justice
