Karen wants to study the safety concerns of community residents. Her sampling frame is the white pages, however there are over 60,000 names in the book, and therefore she needs a more digestible slice of the population. Thus she decides to choose every 100th person from the white pages. What type of sampling is this?

The type of sampling used here is Systematic Sampling.

    Explanation:

    Systematic Sampling:

It is such a type of sampling in which items, things or people etc are selected randomly but at specific interval.

In our case, Karen decided to choose every 100th person from white pages as that person can be any one so random and 100th person show us a specific interval.

It is a simple method but can be time consuming.
