Josh wrote this paragraph for a report on the Western

United States:

Cowboys. Native Americans. Open plains. Outlaws.

Stagecoach robberies. European settlement pushed rapidly

west in the latter half of the nineteenth century, building

railroads, founding cities, and establishing farms and

ranches. Although there were specific incidences of

violence, the lawlessness of the Wild West was blown out

of proportion. Outlaws did exist, but violent crime was not

commonplace.
