no this is an unfair outcome for John because we all know this whole thing is baloney put suppose in the times they didnt, anyway the trails probaly symbolize justice as they thought it wa back then, meaning circumstantial evidence and hearsay is used to pin a crime on someone it shows how much the judicial system has evolved since then.
