How is the play Joe Magarac and the Hunkietown Contest similar to the short story "Joe Magarac, Man of Steel"?

A) Joe stops the contestant from Johnstown from doing anything harmful.

B) Pete and Mary smile lovingly at each other.

C) Steve gives his blessing so Pete and Mary can be married.

D) Fifteen men lift the 350-pound weight in the contest to win Mary's hand in marriage.

    I didn't find any information about the play "Joe Magarac and the Hunkietown Contest". I only read the summary of the short story.

    But my guess is that C) Steve gives his blessing so Pete and Mary can be married. is the best answer.

    Even though Joe won the contest, he did not like to marry Mary. Instead he volunteered Pete to marry Mary because he came second to Joe. Steve has to give his blessing because Mary is his daughter and the main purpose of having the contest is to find a husband for Mary.
